Brianne Mitchell is a media strategist, producer, consultant and COO for Mitchell Legal Services and Mitchell Law Office. She is also an award-winning children's book author (The Della and Lila Book Series), philanthropist, and the very proud mom of two girls, Della (13) and Lila (10). And most recently, she is proudly adding Black Horse Tavern Proprietress to her list of titles.
Bri has been working in communications and media for over a decade and has built a wildly successful practice based in digital media and community service.
Our BHT Proprietress has worked and partnered with some of the biggest names in the business - Disney, Sesame Street, Sesame Workshop, Netflix, Showtime, and WQED. She has also volunteered her time and professional services for charitable organizations that are near and dear to her heart. Bri has donated countless hours of volunteer time to help with community service programs, grassroots organizations, and local neighborhood groups, while trying to make a difference in her little corner of the world.
Over the past few years Brianne Mitchell has been presented with some of the most prestigious awards our region has to offer, including: Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Inspiring Women in Philanthropy, Pittsburgh’s Best of the ‘Burgh, and the ExtraORdinary Person Award.
In 2014 Bri began writing a children’s book series with her daughters. Six years later and they are the proud authors of three internationally acclaimed children’s books, with a fourth in production. Bri and her family have traveled all over the US and Europe for book tours and to promote kindness, love, and community service. The Della and Lila Book Series donates all of their proceeds to various organizations, that support children and families - both in SWPA and all over the world, through their own nonprofit, The River Fund.
Bri lives in Brownsville, PA, and is rarely seen without a cup of hot tea and her iPhone.

The Witch of the Monongahela, also known as Moll Derry, is a local, historical figure from Fayette County. Some say she could fly. Some say she was a talented healer....while others tell a different tale.
This fall, come face to face with Moll - the Witch of the Monongahela at the Black Horse Tavern - and decide for yourself.
The Witch of the Monongahela will be performed by Delaney Harvey of Brownsville, PA. Delaney has been performing since she was three years old. She was a competitive dancer for many years and has performed at the State Theatre in Uniontown. Delaney's theatrical credits include The Nutcracker, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Dear Edwina, and Newsies. Delaney is a student at California University of PA, where she studies musical theatre.
Della Mitchell will be portraying the Innkeeper of the Black Horse Tavern. Something terrible has happened the Tavern and our Innkeeper is determined to get to the bottom of it!
Come and help Della figure out who is responsible for this heinous act at her tavern. By the end of the evening - there will be an answer!
Della Mitchell is a middle school student at California Area. She has studied dance, voice, and musical theatre for 9 years. Della is also a puppetry student through WVU and writes award-winning children's books with her mom and sister, Lila.
Kelly Tunney is a Brownsville-based multimedia photographer and videographer. With degrees in journalism, English and the classics from Penn State, he tries to triangulate Local Productions between historical context and contemporary interpretation. His goal is to use primary and secondary sources to create a lasting multimedia record of local stories.
A thespian since a young age, Kelly has used his 20+ years of onstage and backstage experience to become a theater photographer with coverage ranging from tiny community productions to off-broadway festival pieces. He works with a number of local performing arts companies to provide visuals for their marketing and archives.
